WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES 2ND AT ALL-OHIO CHAMPIONSHIPS

Final Results

CEDARVILLE, Ohio
– The University of Dayton women's cross country team ran to a second-place finish at the All-Ohio Championships against a competitive field of Ohio schools.

Dayton earned 213 points, finishing head of Akron and Kent State. The Flyers also beat out the likes of Miami and Wright State.

Freshman Emily Leonard led the Flyers once again with a third-place finish and a time of 22:17.55. Junior Mickey Ludlow finished in 23:01.14, good enough for ninth overall. Freshmen Kate Crawford and Grace McDonald rounded out the Top 16 for Dayton. Sophomore Kathleen Keene, senior Megan Collins, and freshmen Brittany Fisher, Claire Attea, and Nicole Steinbicker also ran for the Flyers in Cedarville.

Malone won the overall race with 52 points, followed by Ohio, Shawnee State, and Mount Union. Due to weather in the area, the races were combined to one women's race and one men's race.

The Flyers will next compete at the Bradley Invitational in Peoria, Ill. on Friday, Oct. 17.
