About the FlyersDayton (5-3) extended the nation's best home winning streak to 29 on Wednesday with a 79-57 win over visiting Toledo on School Day. The Flyers have now won four straight and five of their last six contests heading into Saturday's game against Central Michigan. UD is led by senior
Andrea Hoover with 19.3 ppg., 8.4 rpg. and 3.1 apg. while junior
Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova records 3.8 bpg. for the Flyers.
Scouting Central MichiganCentral Michigan (3-2) is coming off a narrow 62-61 loss at Memphis on Dec. 6 while the team's only other loss this season came against Kentucky on Nov. 22. Over Thanksgiving, the Chippewas played in a tournament in Las Vegas, picking up wins over Atlantic 10 foe Richmond, 61-56, and against Oregon, 73-67. CMU is led by Crystal Bradford with 17.3 ppg., 10.3 rpg. and 3.8 apg. while Jewel Cotton is the most accurate shooter, firing at 52.2 percent.

Series StuffDayton and Central Michigan have met nine times in the all-time series between the two programs with CMU holding a slim 5-4 advantage. The Flyers won the most recent meeting in the series, 102-89, at UD Arena on Dec. 15 of last season. Dayton has won four of the last five match-ups and the Flyers and Chippewas are scheduled to play again this season on Dec. 31 in Mount Pleasant.

Andrea Hoover reached the 1,000-point milestone in UD's 73-69 win over VCU on Feb. 5, 2014. She was the 21st Flyer to join the club and ninth to do so as a junior. Hoover currently has 1,392 career points and ranks eighth all-time at Dayton.
20+ WinnersWith the team's 23-8 overall record in 2013-14, the Flyers posted their seventh-consecutive 20+ win season. Since Dayton began its women's basketball program in 1968-69, UD has recorded 24 seasons with 20 or more wins.

Three Points of ExcellenceDayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 422 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012. This season, UD hit 10 three-point baskets in its game against UT Martin on Nov. 22 at the Iowa Hawkeye Challenge.

Simon Harris. Harris joined the Dayton women's basketball staff in June of 2014 and is in his first season under head coach

Atlantic 10 Preseason PollDayton was unanimously picked to win the 2014-15 Atlantic 10 Conference title. The Flyers earned all 14 first-place votes among picks from the conference's head coaches. Four Dayton players were also recognized on Preseason All-Conference Teams, including seniors

Flyers in League PlayDayton has won 40 of its last 44 regular season Atlantic 10 games, a streak that dates back to a 97-46 win over Rhode Island on Jan. 7, 2012, including posting a perfect 14-0 mark in conference play during the 2012-13 season. Of its four losses over the previous three seasons, Dayton took two L's at home and two on the road.

Atlantic 10 FormatDespite its name, the Atlantic 10 conference consists of 14 member schools competing under one division in women's basketball. Each team will play a 16-game conference slate this coming season, including three home-and-away series. Dayton will play two games against George Washington, Richmond and Saint Louis and one against the remaining field during league action. The conference most recently welcomed Davidson, and this will be the first year the Flyers will square off against the Wildcats in program history.
Perfect Graduation Success Rate (GSR)Dayton women's basketball has posted a perfect Graduation Success Rate (GSR) for nine consecutive seasons, every year the rate has been published except for one. The Flyers are one of only eight programs to post a perfect score and reach the NCAA Tournament for the past five seasons: Dayton, DePaul, Duke, Iowa State, Notre Dame, St. John's, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Additionally, Dayton was the only school to have both its men's and women's basketball programs post perfect GSR scores and make appearances in the 2014 NCAA Tournament.
