Final Results
PINEHURST, N.C. - The University of Dayton men's golf team finished in ninth place at the 2014 Pinehurst Intercollegiate after wrapping up play Tuesday afternoon for the three-day event. Today's final round was played on Pinehurst No. 8, a par-72, 7,092-yard course. For the tournament, Dayton posted a team score of 327-304-317=948 with senior
Andrew Steffensmeier as the team's top finisher at 81-74-74=229 (t-16th).
Junior
George Rohde, III carded the squad's second-best total of the tournament with his 79-77-82=238, putting him in a tie for 37th place. Freshman
Nick Paxson fired an 83-74-83=240 as he finished in 42nd place.
Freshman
Caleb Wolters turned in the team's fourth best scorecard to round out team scoring, tying for 45th place with his 84-79-81=244. Sophomore
Thomas Goss was also competing with the team as he finished in 52nd place with a three-round score of 89-82-80=251 .
The Flyers will return to action March 24-25 when they take part in the William & Mary Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate at the Kingsmill Resort (River Course).
