Butler Invitational Results
AVON, Ind. - Due to winter weather in the area, the University of Dayton women's golf team's second-round rally was cut short just three strokes out of the lead Tuesday at Butler's Spring Invitational. The Flyers finished in fourth place overall based on first round scores.
"The team is very disappointed because we were all playing well," commented head coach
Sally Kosters. "The team played well in cold conditions yesterday and we felt like taking the lead was well within reach today. I feel like the team is very deep right now and anyone is capable of going low. We are looking forward to warmer weather at the Western Kentucky Lady Topper Classic next week."
The Flyers turned in a team total of 316 for the first round of action played on Monday, only three stokes behind the leader. Senior
Maggie Prokop was the team's top finisher in eighth place with a seven-over 78.
Dayton will return to action March 31- April 1 for the WKU Lady Topper Classic to be held at the Bowling Green Club in Bowling Green, Ky.
