Final ResultsLEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Dayton men's golf team wrapped up its 2013-14 regular season Sunday with its final round at the 2014 Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational. The Flyers finished in 10th place among 13 teams after competing at the University of Club of Kentucky on the Big Blue Course which played at par 72 and 6,992 yards. Freshman
Nick Paxson was the team's top finisher with a three-round total of 72-74-77=223 (+7) in a tie for 21st place out of 78 competitors.
Senior
Andrew Steffensmeier fired rounds of 76-74-77=227 over the two-day event to finish at 11-over and in a tie for 39th place while junior
George Rohde, III, also finished in 39th place after carding a 54-hole total of 76-78-73=227.
Freshman
Caleb Wolters turned in scores of 77-73-78=228 (+12) to tie for 45th place while sophomore
Thomas Goss rounded out the team scoring with scores of 74-76-80=230 (+14) to tie for 58th place.
Junior
Craig Purpus competed as an individual for the Flyers, carding a three-round total of 76-75-77=228 also tied for 45th place.
The final outing for the Flyers will be the Atlantic 10 Championship to be held April 25-27 in Tampa Bay, Fla.
