LUTZ, Fla. - The University of Dayton men's golf team holds on to third place after the second round of the 2014 Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday at TPC Tampa Bay. The team's two-round total of 301-306=607 is tied with George Washington while freshman Nick Paxson posted the team's low round of the day with his two-over-par 73, shaving five strokes off his Friday total.

VCU continues to hold the top spot with its two-round score of 286-301=587 while Richmond is in second place at 292-298=590.

Junior George Rohde, III leads the team for the tournament after rounds of 72 and 77 (149) to sit tied for eighth place out of 50 competitors. Paxson is now in sole possession of 14th place with his 78-73=151 (+9). Freshman Caleb Wolters is tied for 15th place after carding rounds of 75 and 78 for a 36-hole total of 153 (+11).

Senior Andrew Steffensmeier and sophomore Thomas Goss are both tied at 31. Steffensmeier improved three strokes from his Friday total for 81-78=159 tournament total after two rounds. Goss, who eagled the par-five seventh hole today, has turned in rounds of 76 and 83 for a two-day total of 159 (+17).

The Flyers will play the final 18 holes of the championship tomorrow. Goss will be the first Flyer to tee off for tomorrow's final round at 9:45 a.m. with the rest of the team following in nine-minute increments.
