Final Results

VIENNA, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's golf team wrapped up play at its first tournament of the season Tuesday with a third-place finish (314-319=633) at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational hosted by Youngstown State. Junior Mika Suntay's back-to-back rounds of 75 (150, +6) led the Flyers as she finished in third place among the field. The two-day event was held at the par-72, 5,925-yard Candywood Golf Course and also featured Cleveland State, Malone and host Youngstown State.

Sophomore Jenna DiPaolo ended up in a tie for seventh place with rounds of 73 and 82 (155, +11) and junior Amalia Emma tied for 14th place after carding rounds of 83 and 80 (163, +19). Senior Kelly Muskat tied for 18th place overall (83-82=165, +21) and Senior Lucy Frey rounded out the team scoring with her 85-83=168 (+24) which was good for 21st place.

Competing as individuals, senior Mary-Katherine Slattery fired rounds of 83 and 79 (162, +18) to finish alone in 13th place and freshman Emily Connors finished her first collegiate outing in a tie for 14th place after turning in rounds of 83 and 80 (163, +19).

The Flyers will return to action Sept. 22-23 when they take part in the Cardinal Classic hosted by Ball State at The Players Club at Woodland Trails.
