Complete ResultsYORKTOWN, Ind. - The University of Dayton women's golf team is in a tie for ninth place after the first round of the Ball State Cardinal Classic. As a team, the Flyers posted a 33-over-par 321 at the par-72, 6,204-yard Players Club.
Senior
Kelly Muskat and junior
Mika Suntay each turned in rounds of 79 for a seven-over-par finish on the first 18 holes of competition. Both are tied for 33rd place overall.
Sophomore
Jenna DiPaolo carded a round of 80 (+8), putting her in a tie for 43rd place overall.
Senior
Lucy Frey parred her first five holes on the way to an 11-over-par 83. She's currently tied for 60th place while senior
Mary-Katherine Slattery turned in a round of 90 (+18) for a tie for 92nd.
Freshman
Quinn Atkinson is competing as an individual for the Flyers and fired a round of nine-over 81.
Play resumes tomorrow morning with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
