SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. - The University of Dayton men's golf team wrapped up the first two rounds of the Louisville Cardinal Invitational Monday at the University of Louisville Golf Course. The team is in 13th place after 36 holes with rounds of 298 and 307 and sophomore
Nick Paxson leads the squad in a tie for 15th place overall. He carded rounds of 72 and 74 to sit at two-over-par 146. The Flyers are competing against a field of 15 other teams at the par-72, 7,100-yard course.
Senior
George Rohde, III, turned in the team's second-best total of the day with a 75 and 76 and is tied for 40th placed at seven-shots-over par.
Erron Vandemore was the team's third-best finisher on the day with rounds of 75 and 77 and is tied for 52nd place at eight-over.
Junior
Thomas Goss carded rounds of 76 and 81 for a 13-over-par total of 157 and is in sole possession of 72nd place. Freshman
Brendan Keating rounded out the team's scorecard with a 79-80=159 day. He's in a tie for 74th place overall at 15-over par.
The Flyers will play the tournament's final round tomorrow with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
