Box Score 2 DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton's men's and women's tennis teams both picked up close wins this weekend at IUPUI on Sat., Jan. 17.
The Flyer men clinched the doubles point by winning the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. Senior

Bernardo Sanson showed amazing perseverance when they fought off four match points to earn the Flyers the doubles point. Freshman
Zach Berry came up big for UD winning in three sets and helping the men's team defeat IUPUI 4-3.
Head coach
Ryan Meyer was proud of the UD men and their first victory of the spring season. "We played in a very tough environment and came out on top," said Meyer.
The Flyer women also earned a 4-3 win against IUPUI. Despite falling short of winning the doubles point,
Jade Kawamoto clinched the match by winning at four singles. This also marks the first victory for the women's team in this year's spring season.
"The women played well in singles," said Meyer. "We were able to forget about losing the doubles point and came out playing some very good singles."
