SHEYBOYGAN, Wis. - The University of Dayton women's golf team tied for third out of nine teams in the Loyola Whistling Straits Intercollegiate at Blackwolf Run (par 72) with a total team score of 317-341-337 = 995 (+131).

Dayton Individual Scores
Mika Suntay tied for 3^rd with a score of 77-83-82 = 242 (+26).
Amalia Emma tied for 17^th with a score of 87-82-84 = 253 (+37).
Jenna DiPaolo placed 22^nd with a score of 81-84-89 = 254 (+38).
Emily Connors tied for 23^rd with a score of 78-92-85 = 255 (+39).
Jacki Berardi tied for 34^th with a score of 81-96-86 = 263 (+47).

Making Adjustments
Facing tough competition and tougher winds, the Flyer women stepped up their game to boost themselves from 4th place after day one to tie for 3rd at the end of day two. Senior, Mika Suntay proved to be an extremely valuable asset for the team, tying for 3rd overall in the tournament.

Coach's Quote
"The team played really well in two and three club winds," said Head Coach Sally Kosters. "I was especially proud they stayed positive when they felt like they were making higher scores than usual. In those winds on many holes, a bogie was as good as a par."

Up Next
The Flyers will host the Dayton Fall Invitational in Kettering, Ohio at the NCR Country Club. The invitational will begin on Monday, Oct. 19 at 11a.m. and continue on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 9a.m.

"I hope we have some fellow students come out to see us play at NCR North next Monday and Tuesday," said Kosters.
