PEORIA, Ill. – The University of Dayton women's cross country team finished 15
th overall out of 30 teams at the 2015 Bradley "Pink" Classic.
All 10 Flyers that participated set personal bests in the 6K event amongst a loaded field of talented competition. Freshman
Taylor Vernot and sophomore
Grace McDonald shattered their previous personal bests, both of whom finished in the Top 40. Sophomore
Emily Leonard led the way once again though, setting a new school record in the 6K with a time of 20:54.6, beating out Maura Bulgrin's previous mark of 20:57 set in 2012.
"We had a solid day," said head coach
Sarah Haveman. "There are a few tactical changes we need to make as a group, but we are ready for that.

There were 165 runners in the white race and another 251 student-athletes in the red race, including regionally ranked opponents in Bradley (No. 4), Loyola-Chicago (No. 11), South Dakota (No. 12), Kansas State (No. 14), and Iowa (No. 15). As a team, Dayton finished ahead of the likes of Nebraska, Milwaukee, Bradley, DePaul, and Missouri.
