WOMEN'S SOCCER CLOSES OUT REGULAR SEASON AT UMASS

Flyers Are Currently Second in A-10 Standings

• The University of Dayton women's soccer team (8-9-0, 6-2-0 A-10) closes out the regular season at Massachusetts (6-7-4, 3-4-2 A-10) this Sunday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. at Rudd Field.
• Dayton is currently second in the A-10 standings, while UMass is in ninth place, with one match left to play. The top eight teams advance to the 2015 A-10 Championship held Nov. 5-8 which will be hosted by Davidson in North Carolina. 

FLYER FACTS
• The Flyers have won their last four A-10 matches: a 3-1 home win vs. Fordham (Oct. 18), a 2-0 road win at Rhode Island (Oct. 22), a 6-1 home win vs. St. Bonaventure (Oct. 25) and a 5-2 home win over Duquesne (Oct. 29).   
• The win over Fordham marked the 300th career victory for Flyer Head Coach Mike Tucker
• In the win over Rhode Island, Ashley Campbell scored both goals and became UD's all-time leading goal scorer. She now has 61 career goals, overtaking the record previously held by three-time All-American Colleen Williams (2009-2012).
• In the win over St. Bonaventure, Nicole Waters had three assists, and in the process became UD's all-time leader in career assists. She currently has 53, which leads the NCAA for active career leaders. 
• In A-10 action, the Flyers have outscored opponents 28-12. 

SCOUTING THE MINUTEWOMEN
• UMass lost its last match, 2-0 at Saint Joseph's (Oct. 29). The Minutewomen tied VCU 2-2 in double overtime (Oct. 25)
• Megan Burke (3 g, 2 a) and Julie (2 g, 4 a) Weithofer lead UMass with eight points and Rebek Sverrisdottir has also scored three goals. 
• Cassidy Babin has 63 saves in goal with six shutouts and a 0.88 GAA.

THE SERIES
• The Flyers lead the all-time series 16-4-0 over the Minutewomen. 
• The Flyers have won the last six meetings vs. UMass, including a 1-0 road win on Oct. 11, 2013. Current senior Nicole Waters had the assist on the game-winning goal. 

WATERS AT THE TOP OF HER CLASS
Nicole Waters was named a Top 10 Finalist for the Senior CLASS Award
• The finalists were chosen by a media committee. Nationwide fan voting begins immediately to help select the winner. Fans are encouraged to vote on the Senior CLASS Award website through November 23 at:  www.seniorclassaward.com/vote/
• Fan votes will be combined with media and Division I head coaches' votes to determine the winner.

ALEXIS KIEHL NAMED A-10 CO-POTW
Alexis Kiehl was named Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week on Oct. 26. She registered her first collegiate hat trick and added an assist in Dayton's 6-1 victory over St. Bonaventure. 
• The sophomore from Cincinnati, Ohio scored 42 seconds into the match, and twice in the second half, her seven points a career-best for her in a single match and in the league this season. 
• Kiehl also had an assist in Dayton's 2-0 win over Rhode Island, for eight points on the weekend. 

TERRIFIC TUCKER
• Tucker is his 21st season at UD and has amassed an overall record of 303-114-29 overall and 162-31-10 vs. A-10 opponents. 
• Tucker is one of just 17 active coaches to have won 300 matches in NCAA Division I Women's Soccer.

TOPDRAWERSOCCER A-10 TOP 20
Ashley Campbell is ranked first, Nicole Waters is second and Alexis Kiehl is 19th in TopDrawerSoccer's Midseason Atlantic 10 Top 20 list. 

CAMPBELL'S CAREER
• Campbell is one of eight Flyers to score at least 20 goals and dish 20 assists in her career. She has 23 career assists. 
• Her game-winning goal vs. UC Santa Barbara (Sept. 20) was the 50th of Campbell's career. She became just the third Flyer to score 50 goals. 
• With her four points in UD's 5-2 win over Rice on Sept. 11, Campbell moved up to second all-time at Dayton for career points. She currently has 140.
• Campbell scored 18 goals during the 2013 season, which is tied for fourth best at UD for a single season.

WATERS CAN ASSIST YOU
• Senior Nicole Waters leads the NCAA for active players in career assists (53). She is also first in the NCAA with her .89 assists per game this year.
• Waters holds the UD single-season assists record with 18, which she set in 2014.
• Her 53 career assists rank first on UD's all-time Top 10 list.
• Waters is one of eight Flyers to score at least 20 goals and dish 20 assists in her career. She has scored 21 goals. 
• Waters was fourth, nationally, in assists (18) in 2014 and led the nation with 17 assists in 2013. 

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
• True freshman Kaelyn Johns has started every match in goal for the Flyers. She has amassed 70 saves in 18 matches. 
• True freshman Nadia Pestell has started all 18 matches for the Flyers on defense. She has logged 1,374 minutes. 

FLYER SUCCESS 
• The Dayton women's soccer program owns an overall record of 427-181-46 since it became a varsity program in 1984. 
• The Flyers made NCAA Tournament appearances in 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2014, advancing to the second round in both 2009 and 2010 and to the Sweet Sixteen in 2001.

•  Dayton will play in the 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship Nov. 5, 6 & 8 at Davidson.
