DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team is pleased to announce the hiring of a new assistant coach, Hailee Fischer on Wednesday, April 15.
"We are incredibly excited to add Hailee to our coaching staff," said head coach Eric Golz. "She has a unique set of experiences and skills that will add some layers to our staff, and enhance our ability to create an elite developmental experience and environment for the women in our program. Hailee has played and coached at a high level, and has shown the humility and ambition to become a master of her craft. She will take on a large role in developing our goalkeepers and team defending, while serving as our recruiting coordinator. Hailee is an educator, a connector, and has an infectious energy that will immediately connect with both our current and future Flyers!"
Fischer joins the Flyers after serving the role of associate head coach for the University of Sioux Falls, and was the goalkeeper and assistant head coach of Sioux Falls City FC.
Prior to her time at USF, Fischer led the Harrisonburg High School girls soccer team to their third consecutive state title during her first season as the team's head coach. She was also involved in the coaching of girls soccer clubs, and multiple summers of South Dakota State University summer training camps.
Before she started coaching, Fischer was a force in goal at West Central High School, being named South Dakota high school player of the year in 2018 and helping her team win three state championships.
Fischer spent her collegiate playing career at South Dakota State University, where she contributed to two NCAA tournament appearances, as well as two Summit League Conference championships.
