WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of Dayton volleyball team earned an automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA Tournament with its 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-20) win over Saint Louis in the Atlantic 10 Championship finals Sunday afternoon at the Charles E. Smith Center. This is Dayton's league-record 10th tournament title, including its sixth in the last seven years. The Flyers' nation's second-longest winning streak improves to 23 matches and Dayton's overall record is now 25-5 on the season. Saint Louis ends 2015 at 22-10.
STATS OF THE MATCH• Senior
Alaina Turner was named Most Outstanding Player of the tournament as she nine kills and 10 digs in the final match. Senior
Jill Loiars joined Turner on the All-Tourney Team after leading Dayton with 10 kills in the title game.
• Sophomore
Jane Emmenecker was also named to the All-Championship roster after setting 33 assists on the afternoon. Senior
Janna Krafka passed a match-high 13 digs for the Flyers.

Angel Agu led the team at the net for the second-consecutive match with six blocks.
• Saint Louis was led by All-Tournament Team member Nenye Okoro with 12 kills and 11 digs, the only double-double of the finals match.
• Dayton out-hit Saint Louis, .297 to .160 for the match and the Flyers tallied 42 kills to the Billikens' 34.
SET-BY-SET•
Set One: It was 6-1 Dayton to open the first set after back-to-back Sloan service aces and the Flyer advantage was 8-2 after an ace from Turner. Saint Louis cut it to two, 8-6, but Dayton was up four, 17-13, following consecutive Billiken attack errors. The UD lead was pushed to seven, 22-15, after a kill from Sloan and Turner tallied the set-winning termination as the Flyers won 25-19.

Set Two: Back-to-back Jendryk kills set the score at 3-1 in favor of Dayton but Saint Louis rattled off four straight to turn the tables, 5-3. Trailing the Billikens by three, 9-6, the Flyers evened the set at 9-all with a Loiars-Sloan block. The set was tied five more times before Dayton pulled ahead two, 18-16. The frame remained close and Saint Louis tied it again at 23-23. A Billiken attack error and a kill from Loiars ended the set with Dayton on top, 25-23.

Set Three: The third set started a little slow and Sloan's kill at 4-4 was the third tie of the frame. Saint Louis used a 3-0 spurt to take the lead but UD answered by scoring four consecutive points to pull in front, 8-7. The two squads traded points but the Billikens were able to break free with a 16-13 advantage. It wouldn't last long as the Flyers claimed the next four points to retake a one-point, 17-16, lead. It would be all Flyers as Dayton cruised to a 25-20 win in the third set and a sweep of Saint Louis for the match.
UP NEXT• Dayton will play a single game next week at Ohio on Friday. First serve in Athens, Ohio, is set for 5 p.m. The Flyers will find out their NCAA First Round opponent on Sunday, Nov. 29 at 9 p.m.
