About the Flyers
After a third-place finish at the Gulf Coast Showcase Dayton is now 5-1 on the season, picking up wins over No. 22 Louisville and Maine while dropping a game to No. 13/16 Stanford. The Flyers are receiving votes in both national polls entering the week of Dec. 1 and are the top-ranked "mid-major" program according to espnW's Graham Hays. UD has two seniors averaging double-figures scoring in Amber Deane (18.7, 1st A-10) and Kelley Austria (11.8) while junior Saicha Grant-Allen is the squad's leading rebounder (6.5).

Scouting Toledo
Toledo (0-5) has had a rough start to the 2015-16 season, dropping all of its first five contests. UT will be hosting its fifth-annual Rocket Women's Basketball Educational Day in conjunction with Wednesday's match-up against UD. The Rockets are fueled offensively by the duo of Brenae Harris and Ana Capotosto, who are averaging 9.4 ppg., while Janice Monakana leads UT on the boards with 4.8 rpg.

Last Time Out
In the third-place game of the 2015 Gulf Coast Showcase, the Dayton women's basketball team flew past #22 Louisville, 79-66, behind the strength of a career-high 29 points from senior Amber Deane. Trailing by as many as 12 points in the first half, Dayton evened the score at 28 points apiece heading into halftime. The Flyers went ahead three in the third quarter and stretched that advantage to as many as 16 in the fourth before claiming the 13-point win over the Cardinals.

The Series
Toledo and Dayton will meet for the seventh-consecutive season and 22nd time in the overall series. The Flyers lead the all-time series between the intra-state schools, 12-9,  and have won four of the last five match-ups. UD claimed a 79-57 home triumph on Dec. 10, 2014.
