About the FlyersDayton (6-2) is coming off a narrow 61-58 loss against the Purdue Boilermakers in West Lafayette on Dec. 6. The Flyers currently rank first in the Atlantic 10 in free throw percentage (.773) and three-point field goals/game (7.3) while ranking second in scoring offense (74.1), scoring margin (+12.9), field goal percentage (.431) and turnover margin (+3.8). Scouting GonzagaGonzaga (6-4) squared off against Washington State on Tuesday, dropping a 55-48 decision in Pullman. Friday's contest will only be the Bulldogs' second road game of the season, their third overall away from home - the Zags are 0-2 on the road this season. Gonzaga is led offensively by Shelby Cheslek with 11.1 ppg. and a .558 field goal percentage but Cheslek also dominates defensively, grabbing a team-best 9.3 rpg. and tallying 2.4 bpg.
Last Time OutWith six ties and 12 lead changes, Dayton's 61-58 loss at Purdue on Sunday came down to the wire with the Boilermakers coming out on top. Junior
Saicha Grant-Allen led three Flyers in double-figures scoring with 16 points and completed the double-double with 11 rebounds. Senior
Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova chipped in nine points and had 10 rebounds and six blocks for the Flyers.
The SeriesOn Friday, Dayton and Gonzaga will meet for the third time in the series between the two programs. The Bulldogs have won both previous meetings, including a 75-65 win in Spokane on Nov. 16, 2014.
70'S the Magic NumberSince the 2009-10 season, Dayton is 116-11 (.913) when scoring 70 or more points, including 24-2 in 2014-15. During the 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, the Flyers only lost one game per season when scoring at least 70 points, and dropped only two games in 2009-10 when reaching that mark.

Injury UpdateSenior guard
Kelley Austria will be out for the remainder of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her left knee. She will have surgery after the first of the new year. Through the first seven games of the season, Austria averaged 10.4 ppg. and 2.6 apg. over 24.1 mpg. for the Flyers. She had made 57 consecutive starts for Dayton through the squad's game at Toledo on Dec. 7 when she sustained the injury.
Three Points of ExcellenceDayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 456 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program-record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012.
1,000 and CountingWith her first made basket in the 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship final, senior
Amber Deane became the 23rd member of Dayton's 1,000-point club as only the 10th Flyer to reach that milestone in her third season. She has 1,193 career points, currently ranking 18th all-time.
We'll Take the Free OnesHeading into the 2015-16 season, as a team, the Flyers shot 76.4 percent from the free throw line in 2013-14, the BEST team free throw percentage in Dayton history. The Flyers are off to a great start from the line this season, currently coming in at 77.3 percent. If this trend holds, Dayton will have a new program record for free throw percentage.

Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova averages 2.02 blocks per game for her career which ranks 16th among all Division I active players while her career total of 206 blocks ranks ninth nationally among all DI actives. Cornélie-Sigmundová's career blocks total ranks third in Dayton program history - just 14 behind the all-time leader Michele Kruty (220; 1984-88).
We've Got an AudienceWith a crowd of 10,159 at UD Arena for Dayton's season opener against Yale on Nov. 13, the Flyers currently boast the seventh-most attended game this season. The record crowd was due to the overwhelming success of UD's annual School Day game, a chance for local school-aged children to take a field trip with the Flyers. With a home attendance average of 4,631, Dayton ranks 19th in NCAA DI.
20/20 VisionDayton reached the 20-wins mark for the eighth-consecutive season with its 59-45 win at Fordham on Feb. 18, 2015. This was the 15th time in the program's 47 seasons that Dayton has reached the 20-win plateau.

Atlantic 10 Preseason PollDayton was picked to finish second in the Atlantic 10 for 2015-16 in voting among league head coaches with two first-place votes and 177 total points. All three of the Flyers' seniors were named to Preseason All-Conference Teams led by
Amber Deane who earned mention on the First Team.
Kelley Austria was named to the Preseason Second Team while
Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova was named to the Third Team. Both Austria and Cornelie-Sigmundova were also voted onto the All-Defensive Team.
Sixth-Consecutive NCAA Tournament for DaytonThe Flyers made their sixth-consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2015 and hold an all-time record of 5-6 in NCAA Tournament play. UD gained entry into 2015's field of 64 with its fifth at-large bid to the championship (automatic qualifier in 2012 with the team's only Atlantic 10 Championship title) and advanced to the program's first Regional Final.
Welcome to the TeamDayton signed three to National Letters of Intent during the recent early signing period: Jenna Giacone (Delmar N.Y./Bethlehem Central), Jayla Scaife (Muncie, Ind./Muncie Central) and Jordan Wilmoth (Chestnut Ridge, N.Y./Immaculate Heart Academy). Graduation Success RateAs announced by the NCAA on Nov. 4, Dayton's overall Graduation Success Rate (GSR) of 95 ties UD for the 25th-highest rating in the nation. This year's score of 95 is tied with last year's score for the department's second-highest rate since the inception of the GSR reporting system in 2005. Over the 11 years the GSR has been compiled, the Flyers have never rated below a 94 and have ranked 27th or better nationally
National Team ExperienceFive Flyers have experience playing for their respective national teams.

Maddy Dennis was a member of the 2015 U-19 Australian National Team that won a bronze medal at the 2015 U-19 FIBA World Championship. She was also a member of the 2013 and 2014 U-17 Australian National Team.

Saicha Grant-Allen most recently was a member of Canada's Senior B Women's Basketball National Team that claimed the 36th Annual William Jones Cup in Taipei, Taiwan, during the summer of 2014.
