DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's basketball team returns to UD Arena Wednesday night for a match-up against Richmond on Family Fun Night. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and the ticket office will be offering a Family Fun Pack: four tickets, four hot dogs and four small drinks for $20.
About the FlyersDayton (17-5, 8-2 A-10) had its eight-game winning streak snapped Sunday at George Washington (10-0), the only team that has beaten the Flyers in Atlantic 10 play. Having played one less game than Fordham (9-2), UD is currently in third place in conference standings. The Flyers are led by senior
Andrea Hoover with 19.1 ppg. (2nd A-10) and 7.5 rpg. (8th A-10) while senior

Scouting RichmondRichmond (15-8, 7-3 A-10) is right behind Dayton in the league standings, tied with Duquesne for fourth place with a 7-3 record. The Spiders have won three straight, including a 75-72 overtime win Saturday at home against the Saint Louis Billikens. Richmond is led by Janelle Hubbard with 14.3 ppg. (9th A-10) and Olivia Healy with 2.3 apg. Genevieve Okoro is the team's utility player with 7.8 rpg. (5th A-10), 1.1 bpg. (t-10th A-10) and a .500 field goal percentage (5th A-10).
Last Time OutDespite a late second-half rally, Dayton was unable to overcome then-24th-ranked George Washington Sunday afternoon, falling to Colonials, 67-56, at GW's Smith Center. The Flyers placed three in double-figures scoring, led by senior

Series StuffOver 19 meetings in the all-time series between Dayton and Richmond, the Spiders hold a slim 10-9 margin. The Flyers have won the last six meetings between the two squads, including a 76-62 victory in Richmond on Jan. 28. A year ago, Dayton defeated Richmond, 69-58, at UD Arena.
70's the Magic NumberSince the 2009-10 season, Dayton is 102-10 (.911) when scoring 70 or more points, including 15-1 this season. During the 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, the Flyers only lost one game per season when scoring at least 70 points, and dropped only two games in 2009-10 when reaching that mark.

Ally Malott became the 22nd member of the 1,000-point club at UD. She currently has 1,314 career points for 13th all-time in Dayton scoring history. Senior
Andrea Hoover reached the 1,000-point milestone in UD's 73-69 win over VCU on Feb. 5, 2014. She was the 21st Flyer to join the club and ninth to do so as a junior. Hoover currently has 1,659 career points and ranks fifth all-time at Dayton.

Three Points of ExcellenceDayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 436 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012. This season, UD hit 11 three-point baskets in its game against Central Michigan at UD Arena on Dec. 13.

Back in the Saddle AgainOver 22 games this season Dayton has had some players stuck on the bench due to injury. For UD's game at Davidson on Jan. 7, all 12 players were cleared for game action, including sophomore
Andrijana Cvitkovic, who saw her first playing time of the season against the Wildcats, and senior
Tiffany Johnson, who has missed a few games this season with a foot injury. Sophomore
Celeste Edwards also played against Davidson, her first game since Dec. 7. Edwards has gone back on the injured reserve list but Dayton now enjoys greater depth in both front-court and back-court positions.
Flyers in League PlayDayton has won 48 of its last 54 regular season Atlantic 10 games (.889), a streak that dates back to a 97-46 win over Rhode Island on Jan. 7, 2012, including posting a perfect 14-0 mark in conference play during the 2012-13 season. Of its six A-10 losses over the last four seasons, Dayton has taken three L's at home and three on the road.

Andrea Hoover has been named to the 50-person Naismith Trophy Watch List and is in the early-season running for the Women's College Basketball Player of the Year as presented by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. The mid-season, 30-player roster is scheduled to be announced Feb. 11.

Ally Malott scored a career-high 30 points in UD's 87-72 win over Saint Louis on Jan. 31. It was the first time a Flyer had scored 30 points in a game since former Flyer Justine Raterman scored 32 at Duquesne on Feb. 25, 2012. Malott's hard work paid off with an Atlantic 10 Player of the Week nod on Feb. 2.
Atlantic 10 Preseason PollDayton was unanimously picked to win the 2014-15 Atlantic 10 Conference title. The Flyers earned all 14 first-place votes among picks from the conference's head coaches. Four Dayton players were also recognized on Preseason All-Conference Teams, including seniors

Ally Malott who were named to the First Team. Junior

Welcome to the TeamDayton signed three to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period: Lauren Cannatelli (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota West), Madeleine Dennis (Perth, Western Australia/Mount Lawley) and Ashleigh Parkinson (Newark, Ohio/Newark Catholic). The trio will be joining the team in the fall of 2015.

Atlantic 10 FormatDespite its name, the Atlantic 10 conference consists of 14 member schools competing under one division in women's basketball. Each team will play a 16-game conference slate this coming season, including three home-and-away series. Dayton will play two games against George Washington, Richmond and Saint Louis and one against the remaining field during league action. The conference most recently welcomed Davidson.
Perfect Graduation Success Rate (GSR)Dayton women's basketball has posted a perfect Graduation Success Rate (GSR) for nine consecutive seasons, every year the rate has been published except for one. The Flyers are one of only eight programs to post a perfect score and reach the NCAA Tournament for the past five seasons: Dayton, DePaul, Duke, Iowa State, Notre Dame, St. John's, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Additionally, Dayton was the only school to have both its men's and women's basketball programs post perfect GSR scores and make appearances in the 2014 NCAA Tournament.
