DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton men's golf team continues its spring season with the 10th-annual Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate Tournament hosted by Francis Marion University. The two-day tournament will take place in Hilton Head, South Carolina, on Monday and Tuesday.
The tournament will consist of 36 holes, on Monday ,and 18 holes, on Tuesday. Both days will begin with shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m. The Wexford Plantation course measures 6,828 yards and is a par 72 layout.
This year's field includes Francis Marion, Austin Peay State University, Campbell University, Charleston Southern University, Cleveland State University, University of Dayton, Elon University, Furman University, Georgia Southern University, Ohio University, Presbyterian College, Radford University, University of Richmond, Tennessee Tech University, USC Aiken, Virginia Commonwealth University, Western Carolina University, Wofford College, and the College of William & Mary.
This is the second-straight season UD men's golf will participate in the Wexford Intercollegiate. Last season Dayton finished in 15th place in the competition. Sophomore
Nick Paxson led the team with his 54-hole total of 76-79-79=231, and finished tied for 44th place.
