SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. - The University of Dayton women's golf team wrapped its first day of competition at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate hosted by Tennessee Tech at the Sevierville Golf Club in Sevierville, Tennessee. The two-day event is being played on the Highlands Course at a par-71 and 5,803 yards. The Flyers are in eighth place overall after turning in a team score of 335 and junior Mika Suntay fired the team's low round of 82.

Belmont leads the field of 10 teams with a combined score of 295. The Bruins' Sydney Hudson finished the day even with a 71 to lead all participants.

Sophomore Jenna DiPaolo is tied for 38th place overall after carding a round of 83 (+12) while senior Lucy Frey also turned in a round of 83 on the day. Senior Mary-Katherine Slattery fired a round of 87 (+16) to sit tied for 43rd place. Junior Jackie Berardi turned in an 89 for her first round and is tied for 49th place.

Junior Amalia Emma is playing as an individual and carded a 10-over-par 81. She is tied for 28th place.

Play will conclude play on Tuesday, the 17th, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. again on the Highlands Course.
