DAYTON, Ohio -Â The University of Dayton softball team opens their 2015 Atlantic-10 season by hosting the St. Bonaventure Bonnies for a three-game series beginning at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at UD Softball Stadium.
Recent ActionThe Flyers enter the series with a 15-9 record and are coming off a two-game series sweep of Eastern Kentucky Wednesday at UD Softball Stadium. Both games were one-run affairs, with the Flyers winning 2-1 in the first game. The second game was a wild one, with the Flyers eventually prevailing 10-9 in 12 innings.
St. Bonaventure enters the game with a 4-9 record overall. They have won three of their last four games, and are returning from a trip to Honolulu, Hawaii, where they participated in the Rainbow Wahine Classic.
Series StuffDayton has has an all-time record of 23-14 against St. Bonaventure. Â They last played in 2014 when the Flyers split with the Bonnies in a double-header, a 5-4 loss & 3-0 victory.

SBU is led by Emily McDonough, who is hitting for a .436 average with 11 stolen bases and seven runs scored. Katie Sinclair has the Bonnies' only home run on the year and also leads the team in RBIs with six.
The pitching staff has a combined ERA of 4.78 with 23 strikeouts and 29 walks in 82 innings of work. Josie Borysevicz leads the staff with a 3.07 ERA and four wins. Kristen Hickling has two saves on the season and a 3.82 ERA in seven appearances for SBU. Â

Budicin Named College Sports Madness Player of the WeekFreshman infielder
Kailee Budicin was been named the College Sports Madness Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for her play during the Miami Tournament March 12-15. Â Budicin had a big week, starting all four games played. Â She finished with a team high eight hits, including two doubles, to raise her season average from .195 to .280. Â She also had a team high five RBI and is now tied for the team lead with 10 RBI on the season.
