LOUISVILLE, Ky. - For the second-consecutive year and third time in her caeer, University of Dayton senior pitcher
Izzy Kemp has been honored by the NFCA on an All-Region First Team. She joins 12 other student-athletes on the Great Lakes Region First Team.
The 2026 Atlantic 10 Conference Pitcher of the Year set new program single-season records for strikeouts (277, 3rd NCAA) and most strikeouts/seven innings (12.04, 2nd NCAA) while also setting new program career marks in strikeouts (802), saves (19), strikeouts/seven innings (9.80) and lowest opponent batting average (.181) during her final season as a Flyer. Kemp (16-7) posted 14 double-digit strikeout games this season and set new career highs in wins (16), appearances (37), starts (25), innings pitched (161.0), strikeouts and opponent batting average (.165).Â
The Westfield, Indiana, native was named the A-10 Pitcher of the Week five times in 2026 and earned her fourth-consecutive A-10 All-Conference Award. She set a new program single-game strikeouts record with 18 in a 2-1, eight-inning win at Fordham on March 14.
The All-Region awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes (eight maximum) and voted for the teams. All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2026 NFCA Division I All-America squads.
