DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team posted the program's fourth-consecutive and 15th overall winning season in 2026, finishing the season with a 26-24 overall record and a 13-11 mark in Atlantic 10 Conference play. 
 
The Flyers earned the No. 3 seed 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship and made the team's 13th-consecutive appearance in the conference postseason tournament. UD finished in third place at the championship and had two players named to the All-Championship Team. 
 
With 42 stolen bases, junior Kirnan Bailey smashed the program's single-season stolen bases record and she now sits in third place all-time with a total of 82 for her career. On defense, senior Izzy Kemp set new single-season program records with 277 strikeouts and 12.04 strikeouts/seven innings. The right-handed pitcher also departs the team as the program's all-time career leader in strikeouts (802), strikeouts/seven innings (9.80), saves (19) and opponent batting average (.181).
