INDIANAPOLIS - The University of Dayton men's cross country team competed in its first outdoor track event, the Bulldog Opener, in Indianapolis today.

Eight Flyers competed in the 3,000-meter race, with four runners posting the top four times in UD program history.

Freshman Michael George ran the fourth-fastest time at 9:04. Fellow freshman Tyler Adgalanis finished in 9:00.17, the third-fastest 3,000-meter run in UD program history.

Sophomore Ethan Louis had a Division I qualifying time of 8:46.8 (13^th overall), which is the second-best on UD's all-time 3,000-meter list.
The top performer of the day was sophomore Kyle Lach who ran a school-record time of 8:36.8, an outstanding time for Division I, taking 8th place in the race.

"We just focused on one event and we posted four of the best times in program history," said Head Coach Rich Davis. "It was a pretty successful event and we will build on it next week."

The Flyers will compete next at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio at Gettler Stadium on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28.
