DAYTON – University of Dayton men's and women's cross country head coach
David Dobson has announced the program's 2026 schedule.
For the second straight year, the Flyers will open their season at the RedHawk Rumble. The season begins on Friday, September 4, with both the men and women competing in a 5K race, hosted by Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Dayton will also return to the George Dales Invitational for the second consecutive season. On Friday, September 18, the women will compete in a 6K and the men will run an 8K at Prairies Golf Club in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
The Flyers return to the Joe Piane Invitational for the first time since 2024. Hosted by Notre Dame, the meet will take place Friday, October 2, in South Bend, Indiana, with the women racing in a 5K and the men competing in an 8K.
Next, UDXC heads to Terre Haute, Indiana, for the Pre-Nationals on Friday, October 16. Hosted by Indiana State, the meet features a 6K race for the women and an 8K for the men.
Dayton ends the regular season close to home at the Wild Bill Invitational on Friday, October 23. Wright State will host the meet at Fairborn Community Park in Fairborn, Ohio.
UDXC will then compete at the Atlantic 10 Championships, where the University of Richmond will host the conference meet at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Virginia.
The postseason continues with the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Friday, Nov. 13, in East Lansing, Michigan. Michigan State will host the meet at Forest Akers East Golf Course.
