WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - University of Dayton men's golf improved five places in team standings after the second round of the 2015 Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William and Mary. The Flyers shot a 299 on day two of the three-day event and now has a team total of 602 (+42) to sit in 15th place among 30 teams. Tuesday's final round will again by played on the River Course at Kingsmill Resort at par 70 and 6,765 yards.
Loyola (Md. 283-290=573) remained in the lead while Maryland (288-285=573) moved up into a tie for first place after two rounds. Old Dominion's Jamison Randall holds sole possession of first place in individual standings with his scores of 68-71=139 (-1).
Senior
George Rohde, III currently leads the Flyers with a two-round total of seven-over-par 147 (74-73) to sit tied for 37th place out of 155 competitors. Junior
Thomas Goss shaved six strokes off his first round total to card a one-over-par 71 for the second 18. He is tied for 43rd place at eight-over (148).
Freshman
Brendan Keating is tied for 80th place with a 36-hole total of 73-79=152 (+12) and sophomore
Nick Paxson fired a 76 on Monday to put his event total at 155 (+15, t-99). Rounding out the team is senior
Will Chambers who is tied at 143 with back-to-back rounds of 82 (164, +24).
The final round of the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate will be played Tuesday with a 9:30 a.m. shot gun start.
