Full ResultsBluffton, S.C. - The University of Dayton women's golf team wrapped up the Dayton Hilton Head Invitational at the Berkley Hall Golf Club (Par 72) on Sunday with a third place finish (326) out of four teams. The tournament was shortened to one day due to traveling conflicts for some of the teams on Saturday.
Sophomore
Jenna DiPaolo earned the individual title, shooting a 76 on the day. Senior
Mary-Katherine Slattery shot an 80 to finish tied for fourth. Junior
Jacki Berardi was next for the Flyers, firing an 82 and coming in 14
th place. Freshman
Emma Meyer finished 20th on the day, shooting a career best 88. Senior
Lucy Frey rounded out the squad with a round of 90, finishing 22
nd.
Dayton also had five athletes compete as individuals. Freshman
Quinn Atkinson finished second best on the team with a 78 and finished in third for the tournament. Junior
Mika Suntay carded an 81 to finish tied for 12
th. Freshman
Emily Connors fired an 83 and finished tied for 15
th. Junior
Amalia Emma finished in 21
st with a round of 89. Senior
Kelly Muskat rounded out the Flyers with a 91 to finish in 23
rd place.
Appalachian State earned the team title, shooting a 318 on the day.
Dayton continues its spring season at the Tennessee Tech Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday March 16-17. The tournament will be played at the Sevierville Golf Club in Sevierville, Tennessee.
