BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The University of Dayton men's golf team is in 11th place after two rounds at the NYX Hoosier Invitational hosted by Indiana. Tying two of the team's top five low rounds this season, the Flyers turned in scores of 295 and 290 for a 17-over-par team total of 585 on the first day amongst some fierce competition. Senior
George Rohde, III leads UD with back-to-back rounds of even-par 71 (142) and is tied for 14th overall. The 54-hole outing is being held at IU Golf Course and played at par 71 and 6,813 yards.
Wisconsin leads all teams with a three-under-par 36-hole total of 286-279=565 while four sit atop the player leader board tied at four strokes under par (138).
Sophomore
Nick Paxson carded consecutive rounds of 72 to end the first day of play tied for 20th place at two-over-par 144 while freshman
Brendan Keating fired rounds of 76 and 73 (149, +7) to sit tied for 49th overall. Junior
Thomas Goss is one stroke off Keating with rounds of 76-74=150 (+8) and tied for 58th place and junior
Matt Fazio turned in a two-round score of 151 (77-74) to tie for 65th place at nine over.
