HARMONY, Fla. - With a one-over-par team score of 289, the University of Dayton men's golf team is in fourth place at the 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship. Sophomore
Nick Paxson fired a 70 (-2) to lead the Flyers and is in a tie for sixth place amongst 55 competitors. The three-day event is being held at the Harmony Golf Preserve and the course is being played at par 72 and 7,106 yards.
Davidson leads the field of 11 teams with a score of 284 (-4). George Washington's Jack Persons and VCU's Adam Ball are tied for first place in individual standings with a six-under-par 66 on the first day of competition.
Paxson fired five birdies over the first 18 holes of the championship. Junior
Thomas Goss finished the day even (72) and tied for 12th place while freshman
Brendan Keating is tied for 19th place with a first-round score of 73 (+1). Junior
Matt Fazio and senior
George Rohde, III each carded rounds of 74 (+2) to sit in a tie for 25th.
