LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - In its inaugural MAAC Championship, the University of Dayton women's golf team finished in fifth place overall with a score of 316-327-318=961 (+97). Senior Lucy Frey and sophomore Jenna DiPaolo were the Flyers' top finishers in a tie for seventh place at 22-over-par 238. The three-day championship was played at Disney's Magnolia Course, a par-72, 6,018-yard course.

Albany claimed the team title with a 54-hole total of 303-320-314=937 (+73) and the Great Danes' Annie Lee earned medalist honors with her first-place finish of 10-over-par 226 (76-75-75). Just three strokes behind Lee was Siena's Victoria Nguyen with her score of 75-78-76=229.

In her last collegiate event, Frey fired consistent rounds of 78-80-80 to finish at +22 with four birdies for the tournament. DiPaolo carded rounds of 79-81-78 to move up four spots on the final day of competition to equal Frey's total of 238.

Junior Mika Suntay placed 17th overall with rounds of 79-82-82=243 (+10) and junior Amalia Emma moved up seven places to place 26th with her score of 85-86-78=249 (+33). Rounding out the team scoring was freshman Emma Meyer who finished in a tie for 34th after carding rounds of 80-84-91=255 (+39).

This championship concludes the Flyers' 2014-15 season and the careers of seniors Lucy Frey, Kelly Muskat and Mary-Katherine Slattery. Dayton athletics would like to wish them the best of luck in the future and to thank them for their hard work and dedication to the women's golf program.
