NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - University of Dayton men's golfer freshman
Brendan Keating has been named the Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week as announced by the league office. This is the first career weekly honor for the Cincinnati native.
Saint Joseph's junior T.J. Summers and VCU junior Adam Ball were named the Atlantic 10 Conference men's golf Co-Players of the Week while Matthew Lowe of Richmond shared Co-Rookie honors with Keating. The awards were for events played from the March 25 through April 7.
Keating started off the two-day Wright State Collegiate with a career-low round of 71 that included five birdies. His 54-hole total of 221 (71-77-73) is also his career best as is his 11th-place finish. His efforts at the WSU Collegiate helped Dayton tie for fifth.
The Flyers return to action this weekend with a trip to Bloomington, Indiana, to participate in Indiana's NYX Hoosier Invitational April 11-12.
