DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton moved to 2-0 on the season thanks to a dominating performance from
Connor Kacsor en route to a 24-13 win over Duquesne University at Welcome Stadium Saturday afternoon. The Flyers trailed 6-3 at the half, but UD put together 250 yards of total offense in the second half and handed the Dukes their first loss of the season.Â
Kacsor led the Flyers offense with 244-yard hard-earned ground yards, while finding the end zone three times on the afternoon.
SCORING• Dayton opened the scoring with a
William Will field goal from 46 yards to take a 3-0 lead in the first quarter.
• Duquesne recovered a fumble in the end zone to take a 6-3 lead at the end of the opening quarter.
• The Dukes opened the scoring in the second half with a 26-yard passing touchdown to go ahead 13-3.
• UD scored 21 unanswered points, 14 of which came in the third quarter.
• Kacsor capped off the scoring with a 34-yard scamper in the fourth quarter.
STATS• Kacsor, a redshirt senior, tallied 157 of his 244 yards in the second half.
• He finished the game with 40 rushes and three second half touchdowns.Â

Jack Euritt led the Flyers with five receptions for 87 yards.

Cameron Stubbs had two interceptions to go along with six tackles.Â
• This was the second consecutive game that UD has a player with two picks.

Christian Searles led Dayton with eight tackles.
NOTES• Dayton has scored in 433 consecutive games, the longest active streak in in college football.  The streak is also the FCS record, and goes back to 1976. Â
• UD has won two straight against Duquesne at Welcome Stadium, with today's margin of victory of 11 points being the largest margin of victory for the Flyers since 2001 (when UD won 42-16).
