SET-BY-SET
• Set One: Back-to-back La Salle attack errors set the score at 6-3 in favor of Dayton early in the first set. The Explorers rallied to even the set at six points apiece but the Flyer advantage was at seven, 15-8, when La Salle called for timeout. A late rally by the Explorers cut the Flyer advantage to five, 24-19, but UD pushed on for the 25-19 win in the second frame to go ahead, 2-0.
• Set Three: A kill from Sloan put Dayton up 7-3 in the third set and the lead was seven, 11-4, after a La Salle attacking error. The Flyers reached 20 ahead by 12 points on a block from senior Jill Loiars and Brown and UD took the set, 25-13, on an ace from Sloan.
