FLYERS TO WELCOME BONNIES TO UD ARENA WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Game Will Be Broadcast on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel

DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's basketball team will welcome St. Bonaventure to UD Arena Wednesday night for a mid-week Atlantic 10 tussle. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. between the Flyers and Bonnies and the game will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel.

About the Flyers
Dayton (8-8, 1-4 A-10) has faced some adversity this season and has tried out seven different starting lineups looking for the right combination. The Flyers started the season 6-1 but are currently suffering through a three-game skid after defeating Richmond, 60-48, on Jan. 6. With senior Amber Deane sidelined due to injury, sophomore Jenna Burdette is the team's leading scorer with 11.1 ppg. while also dishing out 3.9 apg. Junior Saicha Grant-Allen grabs a team-best 8.1 bpg. and senior Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova swats 3.8 bpg.

Scouting St. Bonaventure
St. Bonaventure (16-2, 5-0 A-10) is currently enjoying a 15-game winning streak and has plowed through its first five Atlantic 10 contests. The Bonnies are 5-2 on the road this season, a mark that includes early-season losses at DePaul and Drexel. SBU is led by Katie Healy with 14.7 ppg., 7.3 rpg. and 1.8 bpg.

Last Time Out
After a 6-for-13 night from the floor and perfect 5-for-5 outing at the line, freshman Lauren Cannatelli led UD with a career-high 21 points in Dayton's 70-56 loss at Saint Louis on Saturday. The Flyers out-rebounded the Billikens, 45-43, behind junior Saicha Grant-Allen's game-high 10 rebounds while senior Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova tallied six blocks.

The Series
St. Bonaventure and Dayton have squared off 23 times in the series between the two programs with the Flyers holding a 14-9 advantage. UD has an 8-3 record at home against SBU and has won the last four meetings in the series.

Cannatelli honored as Rookie of the Week
Freshman Lauren Cannatelli earned her first career Atlantic 10 weekly honor after being named the league's Rookie of the Week on Monday, Jan. 18. The Cincinnati native averaged 16.5 points per game over the week shooting 11-of-24 (.458) from the field and 6-of-16 (.375) from beyond the arc in Dayton's two games. Against VCU on Wednesday, Cannatelli scored 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting followed by a career-high 21-point performance against Saint Louis Saturday where she was 4-of-11 from 3-point range and a perfect 5-for-5 from the line.

Flyers in League Play
Dayton has won 55 of its last 65 regular season Atlantic 10 games (.846), a streak that dates back to a 97-46 win over Rhode Island on Jan. 7, 2012, including posting a perfect 14-0 mark in conference play during the 2012-13 season.

You're Invited to a Block Party
The team's blocks leader for the past three seasons, senior Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova averages 2.22 blocks per game for her career which ranks 15th among all Division I active players while her career total of 244 blocks ranks eighth nationally among all DI actives. With five blocks at Duquesne on Jan. 3, Cornélie-Sigmundová's career blocks total ranks her FIRST in Dayton program history - surpassing the previous record holder, Michele Kruty (220; 1984-88), and breaking a program record that stood for 28 seasons. Her career-high nine blocks against VCU on Jan. 13 is the second-most blocks in one game all-time by a Flyer.

Burdette in the A-10
Averaging a team-best 3.9 assists/game, sophomore Jenna Burdette ranks sixth in the Atlantic 10. She can also be found in several other categories ranked among the best in the league: seventh with a .375 three-point field-goal percentage, eighth with a 1.2 assist/turnover ratio, 10th with a .776 free-throw percentage, 15th with a .444 field-goal percentage and 26th with 11.1 ppg.

70'S the Magic Number
Since the 2009-10 season, Dayton is 117-12 (.907) when scoring 70 or more points, including 24-2 in 2014-15. During the 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, the Flyers only lost one game per season when scoring at least 70 points, and dropped only two games in 2009-10 when reaching that mark.

2013-14    19-4
2012-13    21-1
2011-12    13-1
2010-11    15-1
2009-10    19-2
TOTAL    117-12

Three Points of Excellence
Dayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 464 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program-record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012.

We've Got an Audience
With a crowd of 10,159 at UD Arena for Dayton's season opener against Yale on Nov. 13, the Flyers currently boast the seventh-most attended game this season. The record crowd was due to the overwhelming success of UD's annual School Day game, a chance for local school-aged children to take a field trip with the Flyers. With a home attendance average of 3,307, Dayton ranks 33rd out of 349 DI programs.

You Look Familiar ...
Senior Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova has seen action in 110 career games as a Flyer - missing only three games her first season on the squad. Since she joined the team prior to the 2012-13 season, the Flyers have an 87-26 (.770) mark with Cornélie-Sigmundová on the roster.

First Half Success = Second Half Victory
Dayton is 6-2 this season when leading at halftime. The Flyers are 2-6 when either trailing at the half or tied at halftime.

20/20 Vision
Dayton reached the 20-wins mark for the eighth-consecutive season with its 59-45 win at Fordham on Feb. 18, 2015. This was the 15th time in the program's 47 seasons that Dayton has reached the 20-win plateau.

1,000 and Counting
With her first made basket in the 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship final, senior Amber Deane became the 23rd member of Dayton's 1,000-point club as only the 10th Flyer to reach that milestone in her third season. She has 1,194 career points, currently ranking 18th all-time. Unfortunately, Deane is currently sidelined due to injury.

Atlantic 10 Format
Despite its name, the Atlantic 10 conference consists of 14 member schools competing under one division in women's basketball. Each team will play a 16-game conference slate this season, including three home-and-away series. Dayton will play two games against Duquesne, George Washington and Saint Louis and one against the remaining field during league action. The conference most recently welcomed Davidson.

Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll
Dayton was picked to finish second in the Atlantic 10 for 2015-16 in voting among league head coaches with two first-place votes and 177 total points. All three of the Flyers' seniors were named to Preseason All-Conference Teams led by Amber Deane who earned mention on the First Team. Kelley Austria was named to the Preseason Second Team while Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova was named to the Third Team. Both Austria and Cornélie-Sigmundová were also voted onto the All-Defensive Team.

Welcome to the Team
Dayton signed three to National Letters of Intent during the recent early signing period: Jenna Giacone (Delmar N.Y./Bethlehem Central), Jayla Scaife (Muncie, Ind./Muncie Central) and Jordan Wilmoth (Chestnut Ridge, N.Y./Immaculate Heart Academy). The trio will be joining the team in the fall of 2016.

Also Eligible Next Season
The Flyers had two student-athletes transfer in at the beginning of this academic year. Due to NCAA transfer rules, sophomore Alex Harris and junior Madeline Blais are required to spend one season in residence before competing with the team. Harris, a 6-3 forward is originally from Lorain, Ohio, and comes to UD from Penn State while Exeter, New Hampshire, native Blais transferred in from Marist.

Graduation Success Rate
As announced by the NCAA on Nov. 4, Dayton's overall Graduation Success Rate (GSR) of 95 ties UD for the 25th-highest rating in the nation. This year's score of 95 is tied with last year's score for the department's second-highest rate since the inception of the GSR reporting system in 2005.  Over the 11 years the GSR has been compiled, the Flyers have never rated below a 94 and have ranked 27th or better nationally
