WOMEN'S HOOPS AT SAINT JOSEPH'S SUNDAY EVENING

Tip Time Changed to 5 p.m. Due to Expected Winter Weather in Philadelphia

DAYTON, Ohio - Despite threatening weather from Winter Storm Jonas, the University of Dayton women's basketball team is headed to the City of Brotherly Love for one of two games in Philadelphia over a four-day period. Dayton is set to take on Saint Joseph's in Atlantic 10 action Sunday at 5 p.m. at SJU's Hagan Arena. The game will be televised on CBS SportsNetwork on a delayed basis at 10:30 p.m. Sunday night.

About the Flyers
Dayton (8-9, 1-5 A-10) has faced some adversity this season and has tried out seven different starting lineups looking for the right combination. The Flyers started the season 6-1 but are currently suffering through a four-game skid after defeating Richmond, 60-48, on Jan. 6. With senior Amber Deane sidelined due to injury, sophomore Jenna Burdette is the team's leading scorer with 10.8 ppg. while also dishing out 3.9 apg. Junior Saicha Grant-Allen grabs a team-best 8.1 rpg. and senior Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova swats 3.6 bpg.

Scouting Saint Joseph's
Saint Joseph's (9-9, 3-3 A-10) opened the season with three-straight losses but enters Sunday's game at an even .500 for the year. The Hawks have A-10 wins over Massachusetts, VCU and Richmond. SJU is led by Ciara Andrews with 11.7 ppg. and 1.3 spg. while Sarah Fairbanks grabs a team-best 7.1 rpg. and dishes out 2.7 apg.

Last Time Out
Junior Andrijana Cvitkovic led the Flyers with a season-high 14 points on Wednesday as Dayton fell to first-place St. Bonaventure, 59-54, at UD Arena. She shot 4-for-9 from the floor and 5-of-6 from the line and grabbed six rebounds to go with one block. Sophomore Jenna Burdette led the Flyers with a career-high 10 boards as UD out-rebounded SBU, 47-39, for the game.

The Series
There have been 27 meetings between Dayton and Saint Joseph's in a series that dates back to 1979. The Flyers hold a slim 14-13 advantage and UD has won the last three match-ups.

• Sophomore JaVonna Layfield suffered a concussion at Saint Louis on Jan. 16. Day-to-day.

Cannatelli honored as Rookie of the Week
Freshman Lauren Cannatelli earned her first career Atlantic 10 weekly honor after being named the league's Rookie of the Week on Monday, Jan. 18. The Cincinnati native averaged 16.5 points per game over the week shooting 11-of-24 (.458) from the field and 6-of-16 (.375) from beyond the arc in Dayton's two games. Against VCU on Wednesday, Cannatelli scored 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting followed by a career-high 21-point performance against Saint Louis Saturday where she was 4-of-11 from 3-point range and a perfect 5-for-5 from the line.

Flyers in League Play
Dayton has won 55 of its last 66 regular season Atlantic 10 games (.833), a streak that dates back to a 97-46 win over Rhode Island on Jan. 7, 2012, including posting a perfect 14-0 mark in conference play during the 2012-13 season.

You're Invited to a Block Party
The team's blocks leader for the past three seasons, senior Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova averages 2.21 blocks/game for her career which ranks 15th among all Division I active players while her career total of 245 blocks ranks eighth nationally among all DI actives. With five blocks at Duquesne on Jan. 3, Cornélie-Sigmundová's career blocks total ranks her FIRST in Dayton program history - surpassing the previous record holder, Michele Kruty (220; 1984-88), and breaking a program record that stood for 28 seasons. Her career-high nine blocks against VCU on Jan. 13 is the second-most blocks in one game all-time by a Flyer.

Burdette in the A-10
Averaging a team-best 3.9 assists/game, sophomore Jenna Burdette ranks sixth in the Atlantic 10. She can also be found in several other categories ranked among the best in the league: seventh with a .367 three-point field-goal percentage, ninth with a 1.2 assist/turnover ratio, 10th with a .776 free-throw percentage and 25th with 10.8 ppg.

70'S the Magic Number
Since the 2009-10 season, Dayton is 117-12 (.907) when scoring 70 or more points, including 24-2 in 2014-15. During the 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, the Flyers only lost one game per season when scoring at least 70 points, and dropped only two games in 2009-10 when reaching that mark.

2014-15    24-2
2013-14    19-4
2012-13    21-1
2011-12    13-1
2010-11    15-1
2009-10    19-2
TOTAL    117-12

Three Points of Excellence
Dayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 465 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program-record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012.

We've Got an Audience
With a crowd of 10,159 at UD Arena for Dayton's season opener against Yale on Nov. 13, the Flyers currently boast the seventh-most attended game this season. The record crowd was due to the overwhelming success of UD's annual School Day game, a chance for local school-aged children to take a field trip with the Flyers. With a home attendance average of 3,208, Dayton ranks 33rd out of 349 DI programs.

You Look Familiar ...
Senior Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova has seen action in 111 career games as a Flyer - missing only three games her first season on the squad. Since she joined the team prior to the 2012-13 season, the Flyers have an 87-27 (.763) mark with Cornélie-Sigmundová on the roster.

First Half Success = Second Half Victory
Dayton is 6-3 this season when leading at halftime. The Flyers are 2-6 when either trailing at the half or tied at halftime.

20/20 Vision
Dayton reached the 20-wins mark for the eighth-consecutive season with its 59-45 win at Fordham on Feb. 18, 2015. This was the 15th time in the program's 47 seasons that Dayton has reached the 20-win plateau.

1,000 and Counting
With her first made basket in the 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship final, senior Amber Deane became the 23rd member of Dayton's 1,000-point club as only the 10th Flyer to reach that milestone in her third season. She has 1,194 career points, currently ranking 18th all-time. Unfortunately, Deane is currently sidelined due to injury.

Atlantic 10 Format
Despite its name, the Atlantic 10 conference consists of 14 member schools competing under one division in women's basketball. Each team will play a 16-game conference slate this season, including three home-and-away series. Dayton will play two games against Duquesne, George Washington and Saint Louis and one against the remaining field during league action. The conference most recently welcomed Davidson.
