DAYTON, Ohio - University of Dayton volleyball continues its five-match road swing with a trip to VCU on Friday. The Flyers and Rams are set to square off at VCU's Siegel Center with first serve at 7 p.m.

Dayton (18-1, 5-0 A-10) extended its current winning streak to seven matches Saturday with a sweep of Fordham in the Bronx. The Flyers are the only remaining unbeaten team in Atlantic 10 play and sit atop the league standings. UD is led by junior
Jessica Sloan with 3.84 kills/set (3rd A-10) and 0.41 aces/set (2nd A-10) while junior
Amber Erhahon leads the league with a .451 hitting percentage (5th NCAA). Right behind her is sophomore
Kendyll Brown, with a .450 percentage (2nd A-10, 6th NCAA), who also leads the team with 1.00 blocks/set (7th A-0).
Scouting VCU
VCU (13-8, 4-1 A-10) enters Friday's match with a three-game winning streak after dropping a 3-1 decision at Duquesne on Sept. 30 in its only A-10 loss this season. Last weekend VCU posted back-to-back sweeps over George Mason and George Washington. The Rams are led by Sahbria McLetchie with 3.07 kills/set (6th A-10) and Rebekah Strange with 4.89 digs/set (3rd A-10). VCU's Tori Baldwin is tough at the net with a team-best 1.32 blocks/set (2nd A-10).
Series Stuff
Dayton holds a 6-2 series lead over VCU, including wins in the last four consecutive meetings. The series dates back to a 3-0 Dayton win at home on Aug. 28, 2010 and the two most recently squared off on Oct. 18, 2015, also in Dayton.
RPI Rankings
In the NCAA's most recent Rating Percentage Index (RPI) released Monday, Oct. 10, Dayton came in at 34 through matches on Oct. 9 according to NCAA.com. VCU is ranked 157th.

Tim Horsmon is in his eighth season overall, and third since 2007, as head coach of the Flyers in 2016. His record at Dayton is 203-56 and his career win-loss mark sits at 379-220 in 18 seasons as a head coach. Horsmon is the program's second-winningest coach behind only R. Elaine Dreidame who amassed 310 wins 1970-79.
• Over the last eight seasons (2009-2016), the Flyers have recorded a 97-9 (.915) mark in Atlantic 10 Conference play, including a perfect 14-0 mark in 2015 and 2012 and a 15-0 record in 2010. UD suffered only one conference loss in 2014, 2011 and 2009.
• Dayton has won the Atlantic 10 Regular Season title 12 times (2015, 2014, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2001, 1998). Dayton picked up two more road Atlantic 10 wins this past weekend, including its sweep of Fordham on Saturday evening. As a team, the Flyers hit at .391 for the match to the Rams' .055 and UD recorded 41 kills to FOR's 25. Sophomore
Kendyll Brown led the Flyer attack with a career-high 12 kills to zero errors in 14 attempts for a blistering .857 hitting percentage while also tallying four blocks.

Amber Erhahon has a very efficient swing, currently ranking sixth in all of NCAA DI with a .451 hitting percentage this season. For her career, Erhahon's .407 hitting percentage (683-147-1317) ranks number one all-time in the Flyers' record book and ranks fourth nationally among active career leaders.
Moving Up the Ranks
Junior
Jane Emmenecker currently ranks in fifth place all-time among Dayton's setters with 3,220 career assists. The two-time Atlantic 10 Setter of the Year is looking to move up the ranks this season and is only 31 assists behind former Flyer Ali Hayes who currently ranks fourth (3,251) in the career assists column.
200 and Counting
Dayton head coach
Tim Horsmon currently has 203 wins at the helm of the Flyer program between his two stints (eight total seasons). Horsmon collected 128 wins between 2003 and 2007 and has 75 wins over 2014, 2015 and 2016. He is the second-winningest Dayton coach, behind UD's first head coach R. Elaine Dreidame who amassed 310 wins (1970-79).
13th to 1,000
With two wins at the 2014 Bowling Green Hampton Inn Invitational, Dayton surpassed the 1,000-win mark as a program and is just the 13th NCAA DI team to attain that level of success. The Flyers currently rank 13th all-time in the Division I record book with an overall program tally of 1,073-564 (.656) over 47 seasons (1970).
Brown's Earns First-Career A-10 Weekly Award
Sophomore middle blocker
Kendyll Brown earned her first weekly award from the conference office Oct. 10 after being named the A-10 Co-Defensive Player of the Week. Brown averaged 2.86 kills per set and 1.86 blocks per set over two wins for Dayton the previous weekend. The middle blocker from Mechanicsville, Va., tallied eight kills and recorded a career-high nine blocks, two solo and seven assisted, in a 3-1 win at Rhode Island Friday night. On Saturday, Brown led the Flyers with a career-high 12 kills to zero errors in 14 attempts to hit at .857 while also recording four blocks in Dayton's sweep at Fordham. For the weekend, she hit for .704 and averaged 3.93 points/set for UD.
Hausfeld Court
Former Flyer Kacie Hausfeld passed away tragically in an airplane crash during her time as a Dayton Flyer. In her memory, her family made a substantial contribution to the Dayton volleyball program. That donation enabled the program to renovate Frericks Center, adding a new public address and sound system, new seating on the event level, new scoreboards and video boards and the playing surface was named "Hausfeld Court" among many other improvements to the facility.
