DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's soccer team had a goal in each half of a game that had eight cautions in the second half alone as UD defeated Rhode Island, 2-0.
The Flyers (6-8-2, 2-3-1 A-10) overpowered the Rams (5-10-1, 2-4 A-10) despite playing a man down for much of the second half.
SCORING BREAKDOWN
- 28th Minute – Dayton 1, Rhode Island 0 – Senior Michael Frasca collected a deflected pass at the PK spot and fired to the near post for the opening goal, his first of the season.
- 49th Minute – Dayton 2, Rhode Island 0 – Frasca got his second after the initial shot by junior Nick Hagenkord was blocked, and fell to Frasca for the header.
