WOMEN'S SOCCER SHUTS OUT ST. BONAVENTURE, 3-0

Dayton Posted Its Second Consecutive Shutout

Olean, N.Y. – The University of Dayton women's soccer team defeated St. Bonaventure 3-0 at Marra Athletic Complex Sunday. UD's record is now 5-8-3 overall and 3-3-2 in Atlantic 10 Conference play. The Bonnies fall to 4-12-1 overall and 1-7-0 in conference action.

STATS OF THE MATCH
• Flyer junior Alexis Kiehl led Dayton with two goals and five shots, including three shots on goal. It marks the second game this season she has scored multiple goals in one game, and the fourth time in her career. Kiehl has at least a point in 10 of the Flyers' 16 matches this season.
• UD senior Meghan Blank scored for the second consecutive match.
• Senior Sarah Byrne and sophomore Nadia Pestell, both defenders, each had their first career collegiate assist for the Flyers in the match vs. the Bonnies.
• Dayton outshot SBU 17-10, including 11-4 with shots on goal.
• The Flyers had seven corner kicks to SBU's three.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Kaleyn Johns posted her second consecutive shutout and fourth this season.

DAYTON GOALS
• 18th minute – Kiehl scored her 11th goal of the season. Pestell passed it to Kiehl at the 18-yard line. Kiehl made a move to beat the keeper and her shot was true right in the middle of the net (Dayton 1, St. Bonaventure 0).
• 45th minute – With just 1.3 seconds left in the first half senior Meghan Blank scored. She collected a pass from Sarah Byrne and placed a shot off the far post into the goal (Dayton 2, St. Bonaventure 0).
• 59th minute – Kiehl penalty kick. It marked Kiehl's 12th goal of the season. (Dayton 3, St. Bonaventure 0).

UP NEXT
Dayton will play at Duquesne on Thursday, Oct. 27 before returning back to Baujan Field to close out the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 30 against Massachusetts.
