DAYTON RETURNS HOME TO HOST STETSON

Flyers Have Won Four In A Row

DAYTON -- The University of Dayton, 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the Pioneer Football League, returns home Saturday having won four in a row.  UD hosts Stetson, who is 4-3 and 2-2.   Game time is 1:00 p.m. ET.

UD clinched its 39th winning season in 40 years with last week's 31-16 win at Butler.

RS senior kicker William Will took sole possession of the PFL career field goal mark in the Morehead State win. He now has 53 and needs three points to become the PFL's record holder in kick scoring.

UD's 22–man senior class includes 15 fifth-year players.  Captains Chris Beaschler, Ian Palin and Shane Toub are all redshirt seniors.

GOOD NEWS WORTH REPEATING
The Flyers entered the season with the 4th-best winning percentage (.757, 134-43) in FCS football since 2000 AND have produced the most football Academic All-Americans (23) at any level of competition in the same time frame.  The top five are Harvard (.805), Montana (.766), North Dakota State (.761), Dayton (.757) and San Diego (.705).

STREAKING
UD has not been shut out in a school-record 451 straight games, the best such active string in all of college football. The last team to shut out the Flyers was Marshall, 9-0, on Oct. 16, 1976. That is also the all-time FCS record.

50-50 CLUB
• With the Morehead State win, Rick Chamberlin became the second coach in league history to 50 PFL wins.
• The first was his predecessor, Mike Kelly, who had 55.

THREE AMIGOS
• Dayton is the only team in college football with three players with four interceptions -- David Leisring, Christian Searles and Cameron Stubbs.

ROOKIE RECEIVERS
• True freshman Ryan Skibinski and redshirt freshman Adam Trautman are 1-2 in receiving among freshmen in the PFL with 30 and 21 respectively.
• Both have already surpassed the old freshman record for catches in a season at UD, which was 18 two years ago by teammate Tyler Tumpane.

TAG...
• Senior wideout Jack Euritt led UD with eight catches for 136 yards (both career highs) and a touchdown in the Butler win.
• He has a catch in 20 straight games.
• Euritt is second for UD this year in receiving (23 for 19.2) and has five TD catches.

SPECIAL SPECIAL TEAMS
• Dayton has blocked six kicks in each of the last two years, the most by UD since 2002.
• The Flyers already have five blocks in 2016.
• Dayton is third in FCS in blocks this year.
• In fact, UD has 17 blocks in its last 31 games.

MAJOR FACTOR
• Of the 112 players on the UD football team, 57 are enrolled in the School of Business.  30 are in Engineering, and six more are pre-med.

UP NEXT
• The Flyers' next home game is Senior Day on Nov. 5 when Valparaiso visits Welcome Stadium for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff.
