DAVIDSON, N.C. – Alexis Kiehl scored four goals,
Libby Leedom added one goal and
Kaelyn Johns had a career-high eight saves in the University of Dayton's 5-0 shutout of Davidson Thursday night at Alumni Soccer Stadium.
The Flyers improve to 3-6-2 overall and 1-1-1 in Atlantic 10 play, while the Wildcats drop to 4-7-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the league. UD's victory ended Davidson's home unbeaten streak of four matches.

Micayla Livingston passed the ball to her in the box and Kiehl finished it to the left corner. (Dayton 1, Davidson 0).
• 30th minute – Kiehl gave the Flyers a 2-0 lead with a shot near post. (Dayton 2, Davidson 0).
• 54th minute –
Sidney LeRoy put a long through ball over the top of Davidson's defense and Kiehl flew past and her shot looped over the goalkeeper's head. (Dayton 3, Davidson 0).
• 55th minute – Kiehl scored her fourth goal of the match and her ninth of the season exactly one minute later with a shot outside the 18-yard box. (Dayton 4, Davidson 0).

Libby Leedom made it 5-0 with an assist from Livingston. Leedom collected the pass and turned to shoot to the far post. (Dayton 5, Davidson 0).

Dayton returns home for senior day and alumnae day vs. VCU (5-6-1, 1-2-0 A-10) at Baujan Field this Sunday, Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. The VCU match will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable TV with Alex Mikos on the call. Senior day festivities will be pregame and the alumnae will be recognized at halftime.
