DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton men's soccer team will travel to Virginia for their final game of the 2016 regular season this Saturday against VCU 7 pm.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton heads into its last game of the regular season with a 6-8-3 overall record and a 2-3-2 record in the Atlantic 10. The Flyers currently sit in 11th place in the Atlantic 10 standings with eight points, but are only one win behind from being tied for sixth place.
The Flyers are averaging 1.06 goals per game and have given up 1.06 goals per game to their opponents. UD is outshooting its opponents 13.9 to 12.4 per contest.
UD is led by freshman
Rok Taneski, who has four goals and six assists on the season. Sophomore

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
VCU
VCU has an overall record of 6-8-3 and a 4-2-1 record in the Atlantic 10. The Rams are tied for second place in the conference with 13 points. VCU has lost 3 of their past 5 matches.
The Rams have been outscored by their opponents, giving up 1.53 goals per game while only scoring, on average, 1.41. VCU however, is outshooting its opponents with 12.9 shots per game while holding their opponents to only 11.5 per contest. They also lead the league with 24 goals scored. THE SERIES
Dayton and VCU have played against each other only three times with UD winning once. The only win the Flyers have against them came in the last meeting between the two teams, which was the championship game of the A-10 Tournament last season. Dayton won by a 4-1 final score and advanced onto the NCAA tournament.
LAST OUTING
Dayton's game last Saturday against A-10 foe Duquense ended in a two-overtime draw at 1-1.
Kennedy Nwabia scored his fifth goal of the year in the 77th minute to even the scoring.
VCU is coming off of a 2-1 victory at Davidson last Saturday.

The Flyers will head to the A-10 Championship Tournament held at Alumni Soccer Stadium in Davidson, N.C. The tournament is from Thursday, Nov. 10 - Sunday, Nov. 13.
