KINGSTON, R.I. – The University of Dayton women's soccer team earned its league-record 10th Atlantic 10 Championship with a 7-0 win over the No. 1 seed Saint Joseph's Sunday at URI Soccer Complex.

The Flyers improve to 9-9-3 overall and dealt the Hawks just their second loss of the season, 18-2-2.

"In my 25 years this is the single-best performance I've ever seen by a Dayton team," said Head Coach Mike Tucker, who is retiring after the conclusion of the 2016 season. "The girls played gutsy. They're doing everything right now and it's so neat to see them have success now."

Micayla Livingston, Nadia Pestell, Nicolette Griesinger, Libby Leedom, Alexis Kiehl, Kaelyn Johns were all named to the A-10 All-Championship team and Leedom was named the Most Outstanding Player.

STATS OF THE MATCH
• Dayton had 29 shots, including 12 on goal, while SJU had just five shots, including one on goal. 
• The Dayton defense of Sarah Byrne, Nicolette Griesinger, Hanna Merritt, Nadia Pestell, and goalkeeper Kaelyn Johns did not allow a goal the entire tournament. Johns broke the A-10 tournament record for shutouts (3).
• Alexis Kiehl broke the tournament record for points (12) and goals scored (5). Libby Leedom tied the A-10 Championship, single-game record for points (7).
• Saint Joseph's has not allowed three goals scored all season. The only other time SJU was shut out this season was to No. 25 Rutgers.
• 20 years ago, Tucker won his first A-10 Championship with the Flyers at Rhode Island. 
• Dayton's seven goals is a conference tournament record.

DAYTON GOALS
• 38th minute – Libby Leedom scored the first goal of the match after a tremendous cross by Micayla Livingston and leave by Alexis Kiehl (Dayton 1, Saint Joseph's 0).
• 39th minute – Less than a minute later Micayla Livingston headed a ball past the keeper on a perfect service from Nadia Pestell to give UD a 2-0 lead at the half. (Dayton 2, Saint Joseph's 0).
• 54th minute – Caroline Mink dribbled down the flank and found Leedom who tapped it in near side below the diving keeper. (Dayton 3, Saint Joseph's 0).
• 57th minute – Alexis Kiehl scored her A-10 leading 19th goal of the season with a toe poke under the keeper after Leedom's pass landed at her feet on the run. (Dayton 4, Saint Joseph's 0).
• 69th minute – Kiehl scored after a pass from Livingston. It marks the fifth time this season the junior has scored multiple goals in a game. (Dayton 5, Saint Joseph's 0).
• 70th minute – After a giveaway, Leedom notched a hat trick with a lofting shot over the keeper's head and right under the crossbar. (Dayton 6, Saint Joseph's 0).
• 84th minute – Meghan Blank dribbled down to the end line and crossed it into the box. Beth Kamphaus made a run on the back post and tapped it in. (Dayton 7, Saint Joseph's 0).
