Box Score LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Dayton softball team battled with Michigan and Jacksonville State in the Louisville Softball Classic on Saturday night, falling to the No. 2 ranked Wolverines 7-0 and getting rained out against JSU in the night cap at Ulmer Field.
GAME ONE – Michigan 7 Dayton 0Scoring BreakdownTop 1st – After two walks to leadoff the game, Michigan connected on a single to bring home the first run of the game and give the Wolverines a 1-0 lead.
Top 2nd – U-M cashed in on two bases-loaded opportunities, once with a fielder's choice and then with a sacrifice fly. In all, the scoring led to a 3-0 Michigan advantage.
Top 4th – Two doubles and an RBI single widened the Wolverines' lead to 5-0.
Top 7th – The final runs scored in the game came courtesy of a walk, two base hits, and a passed ball that led to two more runs and brought the game to its final score of 7-0.

Aspyn Novak finished the game 2-for-4, her first two-hit game of her young career.
Sophomore
Kailee Budicin also added a two-hit performance, going 2-for-3.
Dayton had the leadoff batter aboard in six of the seven innings against Michigan and finished the game with seven hits.
