WILLIAMBURG, Va. – After a strong opening round, the University of Dayton men's golf team is tied for second place out of 24 teams at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate  The Flyers are tied with Penn State after shooting a 287 (+7) as a team.

Sophomore Tripp French is leading the Flyers after shooting a 71 (+1) on the first day of action. Nick Paxson, Brendan Keating and Ryan Flick are not far behind French, as all three players carded a round of 72 (+2).

Dayton Results:

• Tripp French is tied for 14^th place after shooting a round of 71 (+1).
• Nick Paxson is tied for 23^rd place after shooting a round of 72 (+2).
• Brendan Keating is tied for 23^rd place after shooting a round of 72 (+2).
• Ryan Flick is tied for 23^rd place after shooting a round of 72 (+2).
• Thomas Goss is tied for 116^th place after shooting a round of 81 (+11).
