#UDWGOLF ADDS FOUR TO 2016-17 ROSTER

DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's golf team has signed four new players: Alexa Amato, Allegra Cunningham, Alissa Danielson and Mackenzie George, to its roster.

Alexa Amato comes to UD from Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein, Ill. where she is a member of her high school golf team, and has also competed individually in local and regional events. She is not only excited to compete at the collegiate golf level, but also earn her degree from an excellent university.

Allegra Cunningham joins the Flyers from Birmingham Seaholm High School in Birmingham, Mich. She recently tied for fourth out of 20 players from the U.S. and Canada in the Tour Championship, and is eager to continue her golf career at the collegiate level as a member of the UD women's golf program.

Alisa Danielson comes to UD from Terre Haute South in Terre Haute, Ind. where she has been the school's number one women's golfer for the last three years. During her senior year she earned sectional low medalist and was named 2015 All-Conference Indiana. Ali will join her brother, Spencer, at UD, who is currently on the Flyers cross country team.

Mackenzie George joins the Flyers from Carmel High School in Carmel, Ind. where she is a member of the Varsity State Champion golf team, and highly involved with many charities and volunteer opportunities in her community.

Coach's Quote
"We are graduating three seniors this spring so losing a lot of experience," said Head Coach Sally Kosters. "However, each of the incoming freshmen have a good amount of high quality junior golf competition experience so as a team we should be up to speed fairly quickly. They are also coming from strong high school programs and have good fundamentals so we will be able to focus on the issues of transition from high school to Division I golf instead of basic skill building. I'm looking forward to what they will bring to the team and know they will enjoy being a part of our already established team chemistry."
