FLYERS HELD IN CHECK IN SERIES FINALE LOSS

DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton baseball team suffered a 6-2 loss to George Washington Sunday despite totaling 10 hits in the game.

The Flyers (14-27, 5-10 A-10) fell in the finale and the series to the Colonials (19-23, 8-4 A-10).

SCORING BREAKDOWN
  • Top of 3rd – GW took the initial lead with five straight hits to lead off the inning. A sacrifice fly and a two-run triple capped off the frame and put the Colonials in front. Dayton 0, GW 6
  • Bottom of 4th – Dayton answered with an RBI single by Mitch Coughlin in the fourth inning, putting the Flyers on the board. Dayton 1, GW 6
  • Bottom of 6thGlenn Jones doubled Dayton's score with a solo home run to left. Dayton 2, GW 6
