NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced the weekly award winners for men's golf Thursday afternoon. Dayton junior
Nick Paxson was selected as the A-10 Co-Golfer of the Week along with La Salle's P.J. Acierno. George Washington freshman Logan Lowe was named the Rookie of the Week. The awards were given out for tournaments played from March 30- April 5.
This marks the second time Paxson has won the award this season. He also received the award in October for his play at the Loyola Intercollegiate tournament.
Paxson helped lead Dayton to a win at the Wright State Invitational April 4-5. He was one of three Flyers to finish in the top-five. Paxson placed second individually with rounds of 71-72-71 = 214 (+1), just one stroke behind the individual champion. As a team, Dayton carded rounds of 287-284-288 = 859 (+7) to win the tournament by 23 strokes.
