Box Score DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's tennis team cruised to victory over Saint Francis University on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Red Flash 5-2 in the Flyers' final home match of the 2016 season.
One of the two points earned by SFU was in doubles, taking the point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3. All three doubles scores were hard-fought, 7-6 battles. Dayton rallied back to win five of six singles matches and earn win number 14 on the season.
Carsten Fisher led the charge with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles, while
Zach Berry followed up with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 2.
Bernardo Sanson came through with a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 3, while
Simon Jayaram made quick work of his opponent at No. 4, 6-2, 6-2.
Lorenzo Rollhauser rounded out the wins for Dayton with a 7-6, 6-3 victory at No. 5.
UP NEXTUD finishes the regular season with a road match against Xavier on Sunday, April 10 beginning at 6 p.m.
