DAYTON COMES UP SHORT AGAINST DAVIDSON

This was the first of a three-game series.

DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton baseball team fell to the Davidson Wildcats, 5-3, on Thursday afternoon. This was the first of a three-game series.

SCORING BREAKDOWN
  • Top of 1st – With the bases loaded, Alec Acosta singled to center field to score two runs. Dayton 0, Davidson 2.
  • Top of 4th – The Wildcats added two more runs in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly and a single to right field. Dayton 0, Davidson 4.
  • Bottom of 4th – The Flyers got on the scoreboard in the bottom half of the fourth inning. Robbie Doring scored on a double by Cameron Silva, and he later scored on a single by Mitch Coughlin. Dayton 2, Davidson 4.
  • Top of 6th – Jake Sidwell scored the final run for Davidson on a solo home run to right field. Dayton 2, Davidson 5.
  • Bottom of 7thNick Ryan scored on a sacrifice fly to right field by Robbie Doring. Dayton 3, Davidson 5.
