Dayton, Ohio – The University of Dayton baseball team got two big wins against Davidson on Senior Day. These were the final two home games of the 2016 season. With the wins, the Flyers move to 18-33 overall and 7-14 in the A-10.
 
GAME 1
 
SCORING BREAKDOWN
Top of 3^rd – Davidson scored first on a fielder's choice that brought in a run. Dayton 0, Davidson 1.

Bottom of 3^rd – The Flyers responded with two runs of their own. Nick Ryan scored on a wild pitch from third, and Nick Weybright scored on a single up the middle by Aaron Huesman. Dayton 2, Davidson 1.

Bottom of 4^th – Dayton added to the lead when Sam Sustersic sent a ball over the right field wall. Dayton 3, Davidson 1.

Bottom of the 6^th – Robbie Doring's double down the left field line scored Nick Ryan, Cale Dineen and Mitch Coughlin. Dayton 6, Davidson 1.

Top of 7^th – Davidson added a run on a sacrifice fly. Dayton 6, Davidson 2.

Bottom of 7^th – The Flyers responded with a sacrifice fly of their own. Nick Weybright hit a fly ball to right field, and Cale Dineen scored. Dayton 6, Davidson 3.

Top of 9^th – The Wildcats scored the final run of the game on a home run to right field. Dayton 7, Davidson 3.

KEY STATS

SCORING BREAKDOWN
Bottom of 2^nd – Sam Sustersic scored the first run of the game on a double by Mitch Coughlin. Coughlin later scored when Nick Ryan reached on an error. The Flyers loaded the bases in the inning, and Aaron Huesman's triple brought home Robbie Doring, Nick Weybright and Nick Ryan. Huesman also scored in the inning on a wild pitch. Dayton 6, Davidson 0.

Bottom of 4^th – The Flyers added two more runs in the fourth inning, when Glenn Jones doubled to center field to score Cameron Silva and Robbie Doring. Dayton 8, Davidson 0.

Top of 8^th – Davidson hit two solo home runs to get on the scoreboard. Dayton 8, Davidson 2.

Top of 9^th – The Wildcats got the final run of the game in the ninth on a single by Sam Foy. Dayton 8, Davidson 3.  

KEY STATS

• The Flyers recorded 12 hits compared to seven for Davidson.
• Eight Dayton players recorded a hit in the game.
• Nick Weybright, Aaron Huesman, Cameron Silva and Glenn Jones each had two hits for the Flyers.
